Makeup Artistry
Over 20 years ago, my entrance in the beauty industry began as a certified makeup artist with M.A.C Cosmetics. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of assisting women in looking and feeling their best, whether it’s for weddings, proms, or any other special occasion makeup needs. As my expertise grew, I expanded into hosting group lessons, where I shared insights on colour selection and application techniques including the art of applying false lashes.
Corporate Product Development
Later, I transitioned into a corporate Product Development role at The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. Here, I collaborated closely with brand PD, chemists, and production teams to ensure product perfection. My responsibilities included accurate shade matching for cosmetics and skincare products, from the innovation stage to large-scale production. I also led shade match training for new chemists, QA teams, and brand product development. Traveling to South Korea for research and attending seminars by renowned trend forecaster Lidewij Edelkoort fueled my passion for innovation. The satisfaction of seeing a product launch after nearly two years of meticulous work is unparalleled.
Colour Analysis and Styling
Being immersed in the beauty industry, my interest in fashion led me to rediscover the concept of colour analysis. Initially skeptical of its relevance, I began researching and became captivated by its potential. Discovering my own colour season as a True Autumn ignited a passion for understanding the psychology of colour and its impact on well-being and image. As a Certified Colour Analyst, I’ve completed fashion courses focusing on dressing for body types and uncovering personal style. Guiding others to embrace their unique beauty through colour analysis and style exploration is a journey that continues to inspire me daily. My mission remains unwavering: to help women create a style as unique as their signature.
Personal Life
I’m a Canadian-born gal with Irish and British roots. When I’m not immersed in all things colour and fashion, I’m immersed in scouting new places to travel to and explore with my 2 young daughters and hubby!
